Learning something new

Item# SCP-XXXX
Object Class:Safe Eucluid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard small office with soundproof walls at site-12. Any personnel entering the containment chamber for reasons other than test participation when SCP-XXXX has not been activated are required to wear level 3 sound protection equipment. No fewer than two guards are stationed outside the containment chamber when SCP-XXXX is inactive. When SCP-XXXX is activated there are to be no fewer than four guards with level 4 riot armor. Tests are to be approved by Dr. Huggins.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a simple office space containing five items that have their own individual anomalies, however, these anomalies only occur when all five items are within a 3.6 x 3-meter area (equivalate space to a small office). The items of SCP-XXXX are a maple wood desk with a single drawer designated SCP-XXXX-1. When SCP-XXXX is active, SCP-XXXX-1’s drawer will contain an unlimited number of various office supplies, pens, pencils, notebook paper, etc. If SCP-XXXX-1 is separated for the other items or if SCP-XXXX is inactive, SCP-5054-1 will be found completely empty. Any items placed within SCP-XXXX-1 while inactive will disappear once SCP-XXXX is activated. Placed on top of SCP-XXXX-1 is a Window’s 8 desktop monitor and keyboard designated SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 grants the user access to any digital information regardless of security measures, censorship, etc. When inactive or out of range SCP-XXXX-2 will function as a normal desktop computer. Placed at the side of SCP-XXXX-1(currently the right side) is a filing cabinet with two drawers designated SCP-5054-3 that when active contains an unlimited number of office supplies such as file folders, folder dividers (bottom drawer), a label maker, sticky notes, etc (top drawer). Placed on a wall (currently left side) of SCP-XXXX is a 81.2 x 78.7 centimeter bookshelf designated SCP-XXXX-4 which contains two shelves of untitled blank books when inactive. When active SCP-XXXX-4 will display various book titles related to the a topic, including rare and newly published books, or books dating as far back as 1450 AD. Currently placed on a small table at the wall opposite of SCP-XXXX-1 is a black Epson workforce printer designated SCP-XXXX-5. When active SCP-XXXX-5 seems to have an unlimited amount of 8.5 x 11 copy paper and ink. When out of range, SCP-XXXX-5 will function as a normal printer.
SCP-XXXX is activated when a human enters the office. Upon entering a form of white noise will be heard and subjects will show an emotionless expression and begin using the devices of SCP-XXXX to gain all knowledge on a topic that the subject previously had little to no knowledge of (from this point forward this will be designated the “learning process”). SCP-XXXX will only affect one individual at a time. Despite attempts made subjects will not eat, sleep, drink, take any breaks, or have any interaction with others until they have completed the “learning process”. Due to this, most tests will result in the subject dying of dehydration after 72 hours of testing. If attempts are made to remove the subject through verbal communication while “in the learning process”, the subject will remain unresponsive. If attempts are made to remove the subject by force this will result in the subject (who at this point will be designated SCP-XXXX-6) becoming violent and making every attempt to remain in the area of SCP-XXXX. For more details, see testing logs. If successful in preventing subduction of SCP-XXXX-6, subject will return to a docile state.
Subjects who survive “the learning process” are exceptionally skilled in whatever topic they have learned. Outside of their newfound knowledge the subject’s mental state is unaffected by SCP-XXXX. If during the process SCP-XXXX-6 is forced to become violent, the subject will have no memory of the actions they’ve made. It is also noted, information subjects have learned during this process cannot be forgotten even when administered class A amnestics. See Learning Protocol for SCP-XXXX testing procedures.

Addendum-XXXX-01: SCP-XXXX has been reclassified as Euclid as a result of incident SCP-XXXX-G

SCP-XXXX Learning Protocol

Learning protocol
During the learning process if a subject has gained access to any information related to or of interest to the Foundation, it is to be reported to Dr. Huggins immediately. If the information is level 5, it is to be reported to 05-6 immediately. Personnel are to then stand by for instructions on how to proceed.
For termination of a subject, the quickest and safest option is for one of the guards stationed to shoot the subject with lethal darts which prevents an activation of instance SCP-XXXX-6.
If the order is given to activate an instance of SCP-XXXX-6, all hallways and doorways leading to SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber are to be locked and be guarded by no fewer than two guards. Termination is as previously stated. Capture of an instance of SCP-XXXX-6 requires all four guards stationed to enter SCP-XXXX and to Place level 3 straitjacket and facemask.
Subjects that survive SCP-XXXX’s learning process are to be interview and assessed for useful skills to the Foundation. If a subject has shown that they have skills useful to the Foundation beyond that of a class-D, they are to be administered class A amnestics and given a position to the Foundation that suites said skillset. Subject that are found to have no useful skills to the Foundation are to be terminated via lethal injection.

SCP-XXXX Test Logs

Testing Log XXXX-A
Participant: D-1012
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins
Results: Subject D-1012 entered SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber on 4/20/16 and began the learning process after 5 min 23 sec of exposer to SCP-5054’s white noise. D-1012 was confirmed to be studying the topic of astronomy. D-1012 expired on 4/2/16 of dehydration. After examination of the notes taken by D-1012 it was found that D-1012 was attempting to estimate the trajectory of a blackhole located in the outer rim of the Milky Way.

Testing Log XXXX-B
Participant: D-2415
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins
Results: Subject D-2415 entered SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber on 8/5/16 and began the learning process after 4 min 56 sec of exposer to SCP-XXXX’s white noise. D-2415 was confirmed to be studying the topic of driving an automobile. D-2415 completed the learning process on 8/52/16. D-2415 was interviewed and given the standard written and performance drivers test, in which D-2415 scored above the average human driver. D-2415 was then given Class A amnestics, but still retained his driving skills.
(Note: Dr. Huggins requested and was granted that D-2415 be given the position of a level 2 truck driver at site 22.)

Testing Log XXXX-C
Participant: D- 4368
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins Results: Subject D-4368 entered SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber on 8/5/16 and began the learning process after 4 min 56 sec of exposer to SCP-XXXX’s white noise. D-4368 was confirmed to be studying the topic of organic chemistry. D-4368 expired on 8/5/16 of dehydration. After examination of the notes taking by D-4368 found that D-4368 was in the process of learning the Sigma Bond.

Testing Log XXXX-D
Participant: D-2555
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins
Results: Subject D-2555 entered SCP-XXXX containment chamber on 10/12/16 and began the learning process after 5 min 15 sec of exposer to SCP-XXXX’s white noise. D-2555 was confirmed to be studying the topic of SCP-0000. Dr. Huggins orders the removal of D-2555 from the containment chamber. Both stationed security officers then entered the containment chamber. Security officer (1) approached D-2555, who was writing notes and made several attempts to establish verbal communication. D-2555 was unresponsive, Security officer (1) then grabbed hold of D-2555’s left shoulder and attempted to remove him from the swivel chair. D-2555 proceeded to stab Security officer (1) at the base of the neck. Security officer (2) was then ordered to subdue D-2555 (now SCP-5054-6 instance). SCP-XXXX-6 instance grabbed a letter opener and stabbed security officer (2) in the crouch area and removed security officer (2)’s tentacles both security officers are diseased. D-2555 returns to the learning process after 2 min of gaining composer. D-2555 completed the learning process on 10/15/16 and was then questioned by 05 command. (Details not in data base).
(Note: After being questioned by members of 05 command D-2555 was administered Class A amnestics and given the potion of Class B level 3 researcher at site-22 due to knowledge processed of SCP-0000)

Testing Log XXXX-E
Participant: D-3897
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins
Results: Subject D-3897 entered SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber on 10/12/16 and began the learning process after 5 min 4 sec of exposer to SCP-XXXX’s white noise. D-3897 was confirmed to be studying the topic of drama. 05-1 ordered the activation and removal of instance SCP-xxxx-6. Learning protocol was followed and D-3897 (now instance SCP-XXXX-6) was successfully removed from the office with no fatalities. D-3897 was placed in a standard D-class holding cell, but with none of the normal facilities to prevent any suicide attempts. D-3897 was observed via hidden cameras and began immediately showing signs of extreme emotional distress and had several “episodes” were D-3897 was found to either be yelling distorted and incomprehensible words, which after analysis of audio recordings found the only comprehendible words spoken to be “I’m going to fail” or crying in a corner of the room. After 8 hours and 13 min of these episodes D-3897 became silent stood in the center of the room staring at the cell door with an emotionless expression. After 3 hours of doing this D-3897 slowly walked to the front left corner of the cell and said emotionlessly “I failed”. After which D-3897 proceeded to bash his head into the corner seven times before stopping, He was originally thought to be standing in the corner when security officers entered the cell. They found that D-3897 had terminated himself by, as one of the security officers described, “embedding his forehead into the corner of the wall.” Examination of the body revealed that the left and right side of his forehead had been caved in crushing the frontal lobe. The two circular areas were each roughly 6 x 6.5 centimeters in diameter and 4 centimeters deep.

Testing Log XXXX-F
Participant: D-2759
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins
Results: Subject D-2759 entered SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber on 10/12/16 and began the learning process after 5 minutes of exposer to SCP-XXXX’s white noise. D-2759 confirmed to be studying the topic of the history of the paper clip. Dr. Huggins ordered the termination of D-2759 reason of termination being “a useless knowledge that not even a D-class needs to process Learning protocol was followed and D-2759 was successfully terminated.

Testing Log XXXX-G
Participant: D-2152
Conducted by: Dr. Huggins
Results: D-2152 entered SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber on 4/20/16 and began the learning process after 4 min 55 sec of exposer to SCP-XXXX’s white noise. D-2152 was confirmed to be studying the topic of reality bending probertites. D-2152 completed the learning process on 4/20/16. Two minutes after testing D-2152 caused a site lock down with the use of reality bending properties similar to those of SCP-1765 against Foundation personnel. D-2152 used this ability to disable the sites nuclear warhead, MTF Epsilon-11 was called to the scene and successfully terminated D-2152 suffering 20% casualties. This event (designated incident SCP-5054-D) resulted in the death of 23 Foundation personnel including (12) Security Officers, (9) Research Staff (including Dr. Huggins), (2) members of Epsilon-11.

(Note: as a result of incident SCP-XXXX-G 05 command ordered that no further testing is to be conducted on SCP-5054.)
