O5 Memorandum 001-Alpha: The sudden outburst of SCP-001 has led the foundation to enact Protocol Karantena. All Sites are to reveal themselves to the public and protect civilians in the nearby areas. All security officers are to remain at their assigned posts unless directed by the Site Director. We created the SCP Foundation to contain a crisis like this. Special Containment Procedures: Due to the unstoppable nature of SCP-001, the Foundation has revealed its presence to the world to lessen the impact of SCP-001's effects. Multiple public broadcasts have been released on all channels to inform the public of the impending danger of SCP-001 (audio logs listed below). The SCP Foundation has constructed several hundred secure bunkers. As of the writing of this document 298 of the original 440 bunkers have been breached by SCP-001 which has resulted in 4,015,524,598 deaths. As of the current date. there is no possible method to contain the spread of SCP-001 and to prevent death, people have to retreat to a secure location. Mobile Task Force units have been tasked with protecting civilians and evacuating areas overcome with SCP-001.
SCP-001-2 instances are to be met with elevated force. Mobile Task Force Mari-1 ("Blind Spears") have been tasked with terminating SCP-001-2 entities and protecting civilians from the SCP-001-2 spread. MTF Mari-1 operatives are armed with a ballistic shield, the newly developed Dreko-9 assault rifle, several fragmentation grenades, and standard field operative equipment1. If possible, avoidance of SCP-001-2 instances is advised, as SCP-001-2 are extremely dangerous entities that should only be engaged if it is certain they will expire, or in the defense of civilians. SCP-001-Alpha instances are to not be engaged if the contact team has less than 20 operatives. Explosive equipment is recommended if engagement with an SCP-001-Alpha instance is unavoidable. The area of which SCP-001 originates is strictly off limits after Exploration Log-001.1, Exploration Log-001.2 and Termination Attempt-001.1 occurred. SCP-001-3 instances are to not be engaged unless they emerge from the area around SCP-001's birth place. SCP-001-3 instances act as guards to the SCP-001 original birthplace and if terminated, alerts the rest of the SCP-001-3 instances. They swarm the intruders and will not cease until the subjects are terminated.
AUTOMATED RESPONSE EOEU-14: THE O5 COUNCIL HAS DECIDED TO ALLOW CIVILIANS INTO REMAINING SITES AND NEW SECTORS HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED TO HOUSE NEW CIVILIANS.
New sectors of remaining sites have been constructed to accommodate the new civilian presence. These sectors are now designated as "Civilian Sectors" and low security presence is necessary unless individual incidents occur. Each site with Civilian Sectors are capable of housing 40,500 individuals and maintain a life in the site for an approximated 12 years with full rations. Teams of Mobile Task Force Mari-1 are to be stationed at each site to protect civilians from approaching SCP-001-2 instances and patrol the perimeter of each site constantly. Site Director Hollender of Containment Site-89 began production of the Fog Exclusion Suit (henceforth referred to as the FES suit) and MTF Mari-1 operatives have been outfitted with a suit.

AUTOMATED RESPONSE EOEU-56: MOBILE TASK FORCE MARI-1 HAS HAD 86% CASUALTIES AMONG AGENTS AND HAS BEEN CRIPPLED BEYOND NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS.
Description: SCP-001 is a constantly expanding fog. Several creatures inhabit the fog and the fog has been theorized to originate from a separate dimension where the SCP-001 instances come from. A 200 lumen flashlight is necessary to penetrate the fog and see farther than five meters. The SCP-001 instances will not leave SCP-001 and have never been viewed outside of the fog. SCP-001 originated within Dimensional Area-01 where SCP-#%@& originally arrived to this dimension. It is currently unknown how SCP-001 and SCP-#%@& are connected, however SCP-#%@& has been out of containment for several months since SCP-001 first arrived. Mobile Task Forces have been searching for SCP-#%@& and have been unsuccessful.
